Turn a sheet of paper into a sweet strawberry biscuit sticks paper squishy complete with smiling pink-dipped treats, dripping icing, juicy berries, and a cute Squish Facts back panel. Our free printable PDF includes 3 versions in US Letter and A4: a ready-to-make color design, a line-art coloring page, and a blank box template. Once folded and stuffed, your snack box stands about 1.6 × 3.6 in (4.0 × 9.2 cm) and looks adorable next to the chocolate sticks squishy or a strawberry milk squishy.

What you need

How to make it, step by step

  1. Step 1: Print the template

    1Print the template

Print your strawberry biscuit sticks template at 100% on plain printer paper (80–100 gsm / 20–24 lb), making sure “fit to page” is turned off. Check the scale bar at the top to see that it measures exactly 2 inches (50 mm on A4). If you picked the coloring page, color the pink frosting drips, red strawberries, and tan biscuit handles now before taping.

  2. Step 2: Tape the motif

    2Tape the motif

Lay strips of wide clear packing tape across the entire printed snack box net, including all the yellow glue tabs and blue tape tabs. Smooth each piece outward from the middle over the pink front panel and the Squish Facts back panel without stretching the tape, so the glossy finish stays flat and bubble-free.

  3. Step 3: Cut it out

    3Cut it out

Use your scissors to cut neatly along the solid black outer outline of the biscuit box, keeping every angled tab attached. Take your time around the corners of the top and bottom flaps, and make sure you do not cut into any of the inner dashed fold lines.

  4. Step 4: Pre-fold every tab

    4Pre-fold every tab

Line up your ruler along each dashed line—the long vertical box edges, the top and bottom flaps, and every tab—and trace over them firmly with an empty pen to score the paper. Fold every line and tab inward toward the unprinted white side once, then unfold it again; pre-creasing now makes the taped paper much easier to assemble.

  5. Step 5: Make the walls

    5Make the walls

Fold the main panels into a tall rectangular ring with the strawberry artwork facing out. Put a dab of glue on the long yellow side tab, press it inside the opposite wall to hold the box shape, and then seal that vertical seam from the outside with a strip of regular clear tape along its full length.

  6. Step 6: Close the bottom

    6Close the bottom

Spread glue onto the 3 yellow tabs at the bottom of the snack box. Fold the light-pink bottom flap inward and reach inside the open box to press the glued tabs firmly against the inner walls so the base sits flat. Leave the top flap with the blue tabs open for stuffing.

  7. Step 7: Tape the bottom

    7Tape the bottom

Since craft glue will not stay stuck to slick packing tape on its own, reinforce the base right away. Place strips of regular clear tape along every bottom edge from the outside, covering the full length of each seam so the bottom of your biscuit box cannot pop open when squeezed.

  8. Step 8: Stuff it

    8Stuff it

Push small, loose scrunches of plastic grocery bag or tiny puffs of fiberfill down through the open top of the box. Reach all the way to the bottom corners first and fill lightly up to the top so the tall, narrow snack box stays crisp and square rather than bulging out.

  9. Step 9: Close it

    9Close it

Tuck the 3 blue tabs inward at the top of the box and fold the strawberry-printed lid down over them. Hold the lid closed and secure every top edge from the outside with regular clear tape, running the tape all the way along each seam to seal the box.

  10. Step 10: Squish!

    10Squish!

Your strawberry biscuit sticks paper squishy is ready to play with! Give the tall pink box a gentle squeeze and watch it puff right back into shape. If you want a slow-rising squishy after each press, prick one tiny pinhole in an inconspicuous spot.

Tips for the perfect squish

  • Keep the tall edges crisp. Because this snack box is tall and narrow, un-scored vertical lines can bend unevenly and twist the box. Press firmly with your ruler and empty pen along the long dashed lines before folding.
  • Stop the side seam popping. The long vertical side seam takes the most pressure when you squeeze the front panel. Make sure your outside strip of clear tape covers the entire edge from top to bottom.
  • Avoid a rounded snack box. Packing too much filling into the narrow body will push the front and back panels out of shape. Pull a little stuffing out so the front biscuit artwork and back Squish Facts stay flat.
  • Smooth tape over wide panels. Wrinkles show up easily on the bright pink frosting background. Lay shorter strips of packing tape across the net and smooth them from the center without pulling.

Questions

How do you make a paper squishy without the seams opening?

Glue only holds the yellow tabs in place while you fold the box together, because glue cannot stick permanently to slick tape. Always seal every glued seam and the top lid edges from the outside with strips of clear tape along their full length.

What paper is best for a printable paper squishy template?

Standard plain printer paper (80–100 gsm / 20–24 lb) works best. Heavy cardstock becomes too stiff once covered in packing tape, making this narrow snack box hard to fold and squish.

What should I use to stuff my paper squishy?

You can use loosely scrunched plastic grocery bags for a light, crinkly feel or soft fiberfill for a plush bounce. Put the filling in small pieces at a time and stuff lightly so the box keeps its flat sides.

Can I print the biscuit sticks box in a larger size?

Yes! Because the entire box net is one connected piece, you can scale it up on a larger sheet of paper and all the flaps and tabs will still line up properly.

Is this a good craft for a party or classroom group?

It works great for groups if you plan about 45 minutes and pre-cut the clear tape strips before starting. Kids can color the line-art strawberry box while an adult helps score the dashed lines and tape the seams.
